To honor World Veterinary Doctor Day, our team organized a free medical checkup camp for animals in the local community. We partnered with the esteemed veterinarians from Sardar Krushinagar University, Dantiwada, to offer comprehensive veterinary services. This event not only aimed at providing free health checkups but also raised awareness about the importance of animal health and the critical role of veterinarians in society.
What We Did:
Free Medical Checkups: Our team, along with the veterinarians from Sardar Krushinagar University, conducted free medical checkups for a variety of animals, including cattle, dogs, and poultry. These checkups included general health assessments, vaccinations, and treatments for common ailments.
Preventive Health Measures: A key focus of the camp was prevention—veterinarians provided guidance on regular deworming schedules, vaccination programs, and general care to maintain healthy livestock.
Educational Talks: Throughout the day, we held talks for the public, focusing on the importance of regular veterinary checkups and how these can prevent the spread of diseases. These sessions were designed to teach pet and livestock owners the signs of common illnesses, the importance of vaccinations, and overall animal welfare.
Interactive Activities: The event included live demonstrations where our team showed the correct way to administer first aid to animals, how to conduct basic health checks at home, and how to identify when a veterinarian’s help is needed.
Community Engagement: The camp was an opportunity to bridge the gap between the veterinary community and the public. We encouraged local farmers and animal owners to see veterinarians as an essential part of their farming or pet care routines, emphasizing the importance of animal health for both the animals’ welfare and the community's economic stability.
